全明星赛：
作为一项传统的篮球盛宴，NBA全明星周末至今已经举办了53届。最初提出这个创意是的当时的NBA总部公关部负责人哈斯克·科恩的，而创意则源自于全美职业棒球联赛全明星赛，目的自然是为了进一步宣传NBA。
新生的事物一般都并不为人看好，NBA全明星赛也不例外，谁又能想到50年后的全明星赛如此的豪华呢。此时，波特兰开拓者老板沃特-布朗站了出来大力支持该项赛事。
全明星赛首发阵容由全世界球迷投票选出，通过NBA.COM、NBA APP和社交媒体等渠道进行投票。全明星赛替补阵容由三十支球队的主教练投票选出，如果球员因为伤病不能出席，则由联盟主席亚当-萧华从其他球员中指定一名球员增补。

不过对于榜单第1名的NBA球员选择，目前来看则是存在非常大的争议。不可否认，诺维茨基确实是一名非常伟大的NBA超巨，他当年的单核夺冠更是堪称传奇。然而相较于诺维茨基，奥拉朱旺无疑拥有着更加成功的NBA球员生涯。首先在NBA夺冠次数方面，奥拉朱旺曾经两度以当家球星的身份问鼎总冠军，夺冠次数明显高于诺维茨基。另外，奥拉朱旺同样也是拿到过常规赛MVP，而在篮板王、盖帽王、DPOY等荣誉奖项上面，奥拉朱旺都是远远甩开了诺维茨基。
因此，如果按照他们两人的NBA球员生涯荣誉，奥拉朱旺的排名绝对要在诺维茨基之前。当然，诺维茨基也是有着自己的数据优势，虽然他们两人的NBA生涯场均得分都达到20+，不过由于诺维茨基的NBA球龄高达21年，因此诺维茨基的生涯总得分也是超过奥拉朱旺。在常规赛生涯的得分数据方面，诺维茨基顺利达到了30000分的档次级别，奥拉朱旺的生涯总得分则是26946分，毫无疑问无法和诺维茨基一较高下。
